when you wanna find out whats at the wheels i just take off 20-30 hp if it rear wheel drive, 10hp if its front wheel, its a real ghetto way of finding out

did you say 89 octane hmmmm on 10.1 with steel heads I do not doubt the motor doesnt make power but 89 octane

with a holley 650 carb that thing must have a good launch to it pending gears of course and im sure it doesn’t skip a beat. Friend of mine just swapped his holly 750 dp for a 650 and ya lose few horses but its so much tighter and responsive with the 650

what size of heads ? I have a set up very close to yours , just waiting until spring to go 4 a rip, i have aluminium 2.02 s with 1.60 , 10 to 1 compression, 750 holly ,mild cam ,hydraulic set up and an air gap intake ,if you were to guess, how much power would that make ? ,,,..with the hydraulic setup what is a safe rpm to rev to without runing into floating valves? i believe the air gap makes power up to 6500 , im not sure if i should take it quite that high though.

200 runner, what aluminum heads do you have ?

edelbrock e-tec 200, they are 6 or 7 years old

In all honesty, I am not very familiar with the edelbrock e-tec head. Most any 200 runner head and a good hydraulic roller will make 450+

im debating between a 383 and a 434 stroker.. im lookin for about 650 to 700 hp on pump gas.. which is better?

You need to go with a 434, unless you plan on using a power adder, 650 HP on pump gas is not very easy.
