I had the same car back in high school. I bought it in 1976, and had it for 5 years. Mine was silver with a blue top and blue interior. 396 SS 375 HP. 4 speed m21 tranny, 411 rear. I loved that car! I still have photos of it. Thanks for the memories!

nice man thanks! seems like it’s a pretty aggressive cam :) :) what is your 1/4 mile times have you ran it? i’m looking into buying a 68 chevelle ss 396 and i’m not too familiar with the big blocks but i do know small blocks in and out – so i appreciate you giving me the specs. if you don’t mind me asking, what bottom end and heads did you go with?

Rdot9

Hey, well its my dad’s car but i’ve got alot of time behind the wheel. its never been run 1/4 or 1/8th mile….yet.. :) But Compared to the new Camaro with the Ls3 in it, it pulls alot harder. If i were you, i’d get the 68, the 396 is a beastly motor :)

No...but I'm at about the minimal hp for the 3"

Rdot9
